The festival of Ramnavami was celebrated with great pomp in Chitrakoot Dham, the holy abode of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram. Chitrakoot city lit up with 11 lakh lamps on the occasion of Ramnavami festival, the city’s pride day. The mesmerizing view of the sparkling Chitrakoot was giving such an aura as if heaven had descended on the earth itself. In Chitrakoot, where people donate lamps in lakhs on the day of Deepawali, this time eleven lakh lamps were lit, celebrating Ram Navami festival as City Pride Day.



Every class donated lamp

Local saints, social workers and people of every class donate lamps, to see which lakhs of devotees come here on the day of Ram Navami. This time a joint meeting was held by the administrative officials of MP and UP in Chitrakoot a fortnight in advance to celebrate Ramnavami festival as city pride day and to make it special. In which a target was fixed to donate six lakh lamps to Madhya Pradesh and five lakh to Uttar Pradesh.
